Sorry for the slow reply. I started collecting in 1972 mostly baseball and football as a young buck, kept it up slowly through the 70’s early 80’s, then got the chance to run a card shop during college and went full send, slowed a bit while the kids were growing up and active, now being more selective and wanting to get back into focusing on my PC and not chasing every shiny new thing. Was a Topps set builder baseball/football until Topps lost their FB license, now focus mostly on Dodgers, Mariners (PC Griffey Jr. with 10,000+ cards), 49ers and Sidney Crosby. Currently PC Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Ohtani, JRod, Bobby Witt Jr., Gunnar Henderson, Trout, Acuna in Baseball. Montana, Rice, Young, Lott, Rathman, Kittle, CMC, Juice, Pearsall and Purdy (49ers), Cooper Kupp (local boy), and any former Washington Huskies (Long time season ticket holder). Also love bobble heads, funkos, and memorabilia, lots of oddball things of my teams. Probably way more than you wanted to know😉.

Thanks for doing what you do. Really enjoy your take on things and the people that follow you. My kind of people.

You had me at Sidney Crosby! What are some of his best cards you have? I am trying to sell some of my cards slowly to raise money for his young guns, about half way there now.

I do have a Young Gun and several of his lower end RC's, I also have an auto from 2009. I actually just picked up the YG checklist this past weekend at a bargain price.

Not too long of a reply at all -- I love hearing collector's stories and how they got in, or back into, the hobby. Sounds like an awesome Niners collection! Do you think you'll start collecting sets once Topps gets the NFL license back for next year? I'm super excited about it.

Whoa, I just saw -- you have 10,000 Ken Griffey Jr. cards!?!?!?!?!?!?! That's amazing!!!!!!

I will probably do the base Topps football set if it's reasonable. Otherwise I will probably stick to 49ers and Washington Huskies. Just to be clear on the Griffey's, I have over 10,000 total, between 8500 - 9000 of those are unique. It's pretty amazing how many different cards he has. My prized collectible of his are an autographed baseball and game used autographed bat.

8,500 unique is even MORE impressive, very cool my friend.

Thanks, Kelly -- tell us about your collection, what do you like to collect? Did you recently start or return to collecting?

Thanks. Funny about that too because I just saw another post today ranking CJ Abrams in the top 25 players to invest in. Same post also mentioned your favorite, Masyn Winn too. I may be adding him to my list of quality rookie cards to get!

Masyn Winn ranks among the best defenders in the game, already -- he just needs to start doing some backflips!
