As the first Scott in your remembering, I do not recall the "Wet Willies and Indian burns". I do, however, remember the baby brother using my cards to clip to the spokes of his bicycle (with training wheels) trying to get his bike to sound like mine and crayon mustaches drawn on my Greg Luzinski. That is why you wound up with 18, 1976 Mickey Scotts. In the end though, you wound up with my entire collection. So, quit crying in your sauerkraut.
Other than that, fantastic first newsletter! Very enjoyable read.
Hahahaha, I had to use some artistic license on those memories. But yeah, I definitely got all your cards! Looking back, I wish we didn’t make a huge card house of them in Sherrill, then shoot paper wads and rubber bands at them! My 1975 George Brett and Robin Yount cards are very upset about that.
Love the variety of the newsletter! I can relate to the resealed packs! Patrick Imhoff Micah pulled Endy Rodriguez in the hanger exclusive yellow. Great stuff here David. The poll was cool to im excited to both Jacksons RCs i think they both break camp starting for their teams!
Awesome job, reading this was like watching a player hit for the cycle. Each section is a different at at bat and the story about your brother was leading off with the HR. Well done, looking forward to next one already.
That’s something else I meant to comment about, ha. Not like it’s that rare, but funny you grew up with a “Scott,” also. Ha, no it’s Chris, but yeah woulda gotten real weird! I’m sure they will get smoother and smoother for you as you go, but then again, I already thought it was a home run of a start! Sounds really cool about the breaks, look forward to it, and to the video today, my man!
Haha! Love the analogy! I’m hoping to shorten the newsletter a bit next time. That first section was too long, but I appreciate your kind words about it!
Wow, David, this was so enjoyable! I waited till the wife and kids went to bed, and sat back and took it in, and it’s a beaut, Clark... So well done! Absolutely loved the pack style format, also. Thanks for the shout out, so glad that might’ve triggered a nice reflection on your childhood. And I’m totally with you about the anticipation (love the popcorn rule!), my brother and I will pick up stuff to bust and if it were up to him, it would all be gone in an evening, but I always line us out with plenty of stuff for multiple evenings! Anyway, I could write a very long entry about all of the entertaining things in newsletter pack #1, suffice it to say, you really did a wonderful job, and I will now begin highly anticipating (every decent writer does callbacks, right?) the devouring of each new edition of this baby! So awesome, thanks!
Haha, fantastic comment! Thanks, Scott! What’s your brother’s name? If it’s David, this just got weird. Haha
I’m happy you liked the format! I wasn’t sure how it would play out, and I have to figure out some different things (like the numbered cards heading verbiage), but I feel like it should be smoother and smoother each time.
Also, I’ve decided to do special monthly breaks for paid newsletter subscribers! I’ve gotta figure out the mechanics of that, too, haha! Im doing a video today introducing the newsletter.
Thanks again for reading and supporting this baby!

Thanks, Josh! You are exactly the type of collector we’re trying to reach! A happy one, who enjoys his cards!
Sweet, nice pull for Micah. Too bad he can't watch him play this year, but I have hope for a bright future.

Man, I thought I replied to this! Thanks for the kind words -- you're a huge addition to this newsletter, my man. Thanks for teaming up!
